The owner-brokers of Bowes Realty, LLC, George and Miriam Bowes, began their real estate careers in 1980.  They managed an office for a nation wide company in their home near Lafargeville for 7 years.  In 1987 they decided to build their own business and land was purchased in the town of Clayton on Rt, 12, the Clayton=Alex Bay Rd., just two miles outside of Clayton.  A building was constructed and they moved to this site on June 8, 1989.  An addition was added in 2004 and presently the office has 1500 sq. ft., with a staff of 13 agents and brokers.  Familiar with all types of real estate, they are noted for their honesty, integrity and attention to detail in all aspects of their business.

George and Miriam are members of the Jefferson-Lewis Board of Realtors, the New York State Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.  They also have attained the designated degree of G.R.I., Graduate of the Realtors' Institute.  They have served on the Multiple Listing Service Committee, and George has served on the Building Committee, as a director of the Jeff-Lewis Board of Realtors, and was named Realtor of the Year in 2001.  Give George or Miriam a call to assist you with your real estate needs.

Les is a native of Jefferson County.  He took over the family dairy farm in 1991 and retired from the dairy business in 2003.  Les started in the Real Estate field in 2001, bringing a strong work ethic and business mind to the Real Estate field.  His #1 priority is to give you the excellent service for your Real Estate needs..  He gets great satisfaction in representing both buyers and sellers, and getting each transaction to a closing in a timely manner.  Feel free to call him any time as he is here to serve you FULL TIME.

James L. Wiley, in partnership with his brother, owned and operated the Red and White Store in Cape Vincent for over 27 years, and The Cape Motel, Laundromat, Gas Station and Gift Shop.  As the expansion of Fort Drum was taking place he worked in Army Housing.  Jim joined the staff at Bowes Realty as a Sales Associate, becoming an Associate Broker and obtained a GRI designation.  He has served as President of the Cape Vincent Chamber of Commerce, Mayor of the Village of Cape Vincent, and Supervisor of the Town of Cape Vincent.  He is active as Lector at St. Vincent of Paul Church, is a Charter Member of the Cape Vincent Lions Club, and is Treasurer of the Cape Vincent Recreation Park Commission.  Jim has over twenty-five years experience and is ready, willing and able to assist you in your real estate needs, whether it is buying or selling.

Chuck started selling Real Estate in 2004 after retiring from 28 years of Sales, Sales Management, and as Plant Manager for Blue Seal Feeds.   He also retired as CDR after serving 23 years in the Coast Guard Reserve.  He is very familiar with the St. Lawrence River area, having owned a cottage for 13 years and then building a year round home on the river in 2000.  Having moved 18 times and building 5 homes provides him with a solid background of experience to assist both buyers and sellers of Real Estate.  He makes himself available at anytime to service your Real Estate needs.

Keith Lawrence is a resident of Clayton, having resided there for the past 22 years.  He was born and raised in Lafargeville and graduated from Lafargeville Central School in 1984.  Keith has been employed in the local area and also received a certificate after completing an electrical course.  Keith obtained his real estate license in October 2006 and has been working at Bowes Realty under the direction and supervision of George and Miriam Bowes.  He considers his real estate career to be a long term commitment snd looks forward to gaining unlimited knowledge and experience through his willingness to assist you in all of your real estate needs.
